Eureka: a British project bringing design-led products to the discerning consumer
Named 'Eureka' to represent the moment of inspiration that is the force behind the creative process, the Eureka Project tells the story of the design, manufacture and retail processes behind the products that comprise the Eureka - the collection. Being launched from 21 to 30 September 2004 as part of the London Design Festival at Furniture Works, Commercial Road, London. This new collection of consumer products has been inspired by the campaigning work of Design-Nation, commissioned by UK retailers Crabtree & Evelyn, Fired Earth Interiors, Heal's and The Conran Shop and produced in collaboration with UK manufacturers. From a rug collection to a stackable wine rack, a computer workstation and table place mats, to ceramic and glass accessories, Eureka - the collection strives to show how design gives British products a competitive edge in the marketplace.
